Leading in Leather

The 80’s was a revolutionary period in women’s fashion, to this day we see repeating trends that started over 20 years ago, and will continue in eras to come. This was a time where standing out as an independent, and powerful women was necessary. Masculine looks including structured shoulders, bold colours, colour blocking and leather were the norm for women. Trendmill has noticed recent recreations of these trends, with leather being the main attraction. Modern styles are mimicking 80’s masculine trends, however current styles lend to a powerful, chic edge.Find the leather and women's sexy dresses at kiwilook.

Leather, being an old time favourite was revamped in this look, in Akerman rocking a modern, fitted skirt. We think Malin killed this look.  The leather pencil skirt, worn at knee length appears sophisticated. Her choice of bare legs, with caged black sandals is key- keeping the skirt young.  We love how the blue printed blouse breaks up the look, and brings attention to her stunning, blue eyes.
